Just three steps: Put a tab directly in the washing machine drum, on top of or inside the laundry (not in the detergent drawer) Add the laundry Start the wash cycle at 30°C or higher One tab = one standard wash. For very dirty loads or loads over 6/7 kg, you can use two tabs. Pre-treatment is not needed in most cases. Caution: open the package with dry hands; the outer film on the tabs is water-soluble and dissolves on contact with water
Eco Tabs are effective at 30°C and above. Practical guide: 30°C: optimal performance for everyday dirt, delicate items, light-colored garments 40°C: ideal for everyday laundry, mixed whites and colors, mixed fabrics 60°C: for linens, towels, very dirty or stained items, with maximum sanitizing action 90°C: possible, but rarely necessary; the tabs work perfectly at 60°C
Yes, Eco Tabs are formulated for use on both whites and colors, with no risk of fading garments. On whites: the active-oxygen bleaching action brightens whites and removes yellowing On colors: the formula’s anti-redeposition agents protect color vibrancy over time by preventing dirt from redepositing on fabrics Caution: Do not use on wool, silk, or cashmere For black or very dark garments, choose a 30°C wash For garments with delicate prints (screen-printed or appliquéd), turn them inside out and choose a low temperature
The EU Ecolabel is the European Union’s official environmental quality label, established in 1992. The outer film around the tab is made of Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA), a water-soluble polymer that dissolves during washing and is biodegradable. What EU regulations say: PVA is not classified as a microplastic under EU Regulation 2023/2055, which governs the placing of microplastics on the market, because it is water-soluble, unlike solid microplastics that fragment in the environment. To date, water-soluble PVA is the best technical compromise available for making pre-dosed tabs without an outer plastic bottle. We continue to monitor developments in research and are ready to update the formula if more environmentally friendly alternatives become available
Eco Tabs are formulated as a complete product for everyday laundry and already contain bleach, a limescale sequestrant, and an anti-redeposition system. In most cases, the tab alone is enough. When a booster may be useful: Very stubborn stains: add a tablespoon of R5 sodium percarbonate to the load to boost bleaching performance Very hard water: add an R5 citric acid solution to the fabric softener compartment to prevent limescale deposits Caution: there is no need to add conventional fabric softener; the formula already contains anti-redeposition agents that keep fabrics soft. If you want to soften fabrics further in hard water, citric acid is the most compatible choice
