It means that every R5 solid product has undergone a clinical test on human volunteers in an accredited laboratory, under the supervision of a dermatologist, before reaching you. How it works: The test is called an epicutaneous patch test — it is the international standard to verify that a cosmetic does not cause skin irritation. Our protocol includes: 25 healthy volunteers testing the product on their own skin Application for 48 consecutive hours Evaluation by a dermatologist at three different times after removal (15 min, 1h, 24h) Accredia-accredited laboratory: Complife Italia (one of the most authoritative in Italy) Ethical compliance with the European Cosmetics Regulation and the Declaration of Helsinki The test demonstrates that, under the indicated experimental conditions, the product does not produce skin irritation reactions in the tested population. Yes, the gesture is a bit different, but it only takes 2-3 uses to get used to it. A solid cosmetic is a concentrated formula without water (or with a minimal amount). The water that normally makes up 60-80% of a traditional liquid shampoo or shower gel is replaced by the shower water: you wet the product, a lather is created, you apply and rinse as you would with a traditional cosmetic. The 3 steps: Activate: pass the solid under running water or rub it between wet hands until you get a creamy lather Apply: distribute over wet hair and/or body and massage gently Rinse and store: rinse thoroughly, then let the solid dry in a ventilated place or in the open R5 solid holder with drainage Why “solid” does not mean “less effective”: the same concentration of active ingredients you would find in a 250/300 ml bottle is concentrated in a 70 g solid. An R5 solid cosmetic averages about 60 uses,the duration depends on the frequency of use, the length of the hair, and the storage method. Practical tip: after the shower, leave the solid in a dry and ventilated place. Never leave it immersed in water, even partially, as this accelerates its consumption and can promote moisture retention

The result is a more concentrated product per unit of weight. The compromises to know: A different usage habit: it requires activation with water and dry storage between uses An initial adjustment: if you come from traditional cosmetics with silicones, the first 2-3 washes can give a different tactile sensation: it is normal, it is the hair that “resets” without the silicone coating A seemingly higher price per unit: however, based on the 60 actual uses, the cost per single wash is competitive with premium cosmetics in bottles
