Frequently Asked Questions
Questions? We have the answers!
COCO Sponge is suitable for the daily cleaning of tableware, non-non-stick cookware, stainless steel sinks, shelves, and common washable surfaces. The cellulose side is gentle, while the coconut fiber side is more abrasive and useful for stubborn dirt. Do not use the coconut side on glass-ceramic cooktops, glossy surfaces, decorated crystal, non-stick cookware, painted or chrome-plated surfaces: the coconut fiber can leave micro-scratches. If you are unsure about the composition of the surface, test it first on an inconspicuous area.
After each use, rinse the sponge thoroughly with clean water to remove detergent residue and dirt. Wring it out and leave it to air dry in a well-ventilated area, resting on an edge that allows water to drain. Avoid leaving it submerged in water or lying flat at the bottom of the sink, as stagnant moisture promotes the growth of bacteria and unpleasant odors.
Its lifespan depends on the frequency of use and the type of dirt it is used to clean. In general, a cellulose and coconut fiber sponge should be replaced when the cellulose loses its elasticity or starts to fray, retains unpleasant odors even after rinsing, or when the coconut fiber becomes flattened and loses its scrubbing effectiveness. Careful use (proper rinsing and drying) extends the life of the product.
The worn-out sponge should be disposed of with general waste. The PAP 22 paper packaging should be placed in the paper recycling collection. Always check your local municipal guidelines.
