We are now a B Corp™: as a B Corp™, we are part of a global movement of companies that meet high standards of social and environmental impact.

B Corp™ recognises companies that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency. It is not a legal status, but a voluntary commitment to create a positive impact for all stakeholders, not just shareholders.

B Lab™ is a non-profit organisation that aims to transform the global economic paradigm in favour of all people, communities and the planet. Its international network promotes change in economic systems to foster a vision of an inclusive, equitable and regenerative economic paradigm. B Lab™ creates programmes that aim to change the behaviour, culture and structure of the current economic system. It mobilises the global B Corp™ movement to stimulate collective action to address society's most difficult challenges, and collaborates with governments, academia, coalitions and other institutions to promote change in economic systems.

‘B Corporation Certification’ is a trademark licensed by B Lab, a private non-profit organisation, to companies that, like ours, have successfully passed the B Impact Assessment (‘BIA’) and therefore meet B Lab's requirements in terms of social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency. It should be noted that B Lab is not a conformity assessment body within the meaning of Regulation (EU) No 765/2008 or a national, European or international standardisation body within the meaning of Regulation (EU) No 1025/2012. The BIA criteria are distinct and independent from the harmonised standards resulting from ISO or other standardisation bodies and are not ratified by national or European public institutions.

Measurement

The R5 product and kit system (refillable bottles and refills) aims to reduce and prevent the production of additional plastic and unnecessary water transport.

From the outset, we decided to measure the environmental footprint of our products throughout their entire life cycle. We began by conducting a rapid LCA (Life Cycle Screening) study to compare the environmental impacts with those of conventional products. The study showed that the packaging and shipping system for R5 concentrated household spray products generates a significant reduction in all impact categories, particularly in relation to climate change, measured in kg CO2 eq.

Since 2023, we have been working with Climate Partner to accurately measure our environmental footprint and commit to a continuous reduction plan.

We are constantly engaged in researching and testing different concentrated product technologies in order to identify and improve the product-effectiveness-format combination that combines the goal of reducing environmental impact with the effectiveness of the formulations.

That is why, in 2026, we will undertake a new LCA study on new and reformulated products. We believe that achieving the goals of Agenda 2030 should be a priority for every company. With R5, we are focusing on SDG 12: Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns, SDG 14: Life below water. Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development, and SDG 6.

We are proud to be among the first companies in the world and the first in Italy to more than offset our plastic footprint with rePurpose Global.

Working with Repurpose Global is one step in our company's sustainability plan. We recognise that there is more work to be done to protect our planet, and we are taking immediate and long-term action to address our environmental footprint.

    We approached 2024 with a spirit of challenge and growth. It was a transitional year for us in organizational and structuring terms, and it allowed us to consolidate the foundations for the sustainable development we intend to continue pursuing.

    2023 was an important year for us, of growth and also of improvement of our processes. We managed, despite the difficulties of a particular year, to stay true to the goals we had set ourselves last year.

    2022 was a year of growth and new projects. A unique year. A roller coaster year we could say. We worked on new products, we asked our customers for help to evolve, we made new friends.

    We maintained the objectives included in the 2021 Impact Report and in some cases we even exceeded them.

    For 2023 we have challenging goals in terms of impact, but we are confident that together we can do it.

    This has been a really important year for us. It's a first for us and this is our first Impact Report. We know that we are still at the beginning, that we still have a long way to go and work harder. We are doing it, we will not stop, despite the difficult moment and despite the fact that the road like this is sometimes more tiring. Thanks to everyone who has supported us so far and to those who want to share with us this path towards an increasingly impactful transition.
