It doesn't take much to change

With a few tricks we can achieve excellent results while reducing our impact.

#1 WASH LESS

This is the very first rule. Sometimes we wash when it's not necessary. Air your clothes and wash the individual stain by hand. With little effort we avoid harming marine life and our health.

#2 WASH COLD

This is one of the habits that our grandmothers and mothers passed down to us, but with modern detergents, washing at a high temperature really isn't necessary. In the vast majority of cases 30°C is sufficient. Among other things, water in combination with heat weakens yarn, especially synthetic ones and this causes much more plastic to end up in our oceans.

#3 NO TO SOFTENER

Fabric softener doesn't help us or the environment. There is the most valid of substitutes and you will be amazed at the effect it will have on your clothes and on your washing machine. We are talking about CITRIC ACID

#4 WASH FAST WITH ECO PROGRAM

All washing machines have a short wash program. Use it. It is high-performance, reduce energy and water consumption. Furthermore, the longer you wash, the more the fibers break and the fabrics become ruined.

#5 AVOID CLOTHES THAT CONTAIN PLASTIC! BUY LESS BUT BETTER!
Think about what you really need before buying. Check the label and avoid synthetic fabrics such as polyester, acrylic and nylon.

#6 USE A BAG AGAINST MICROPLASTICS

Prevent microfibers from entering the oceans. We recommend using GUPPYFRIEND . Its use causes fewer fibers to break and therefore prolongs the life of your fabrics. Breaking fibers are reliably retained.

#7 WASH WITH FULL LOAD

Only wash when the machine is really full. Save water and energy.

#8 READ WITH LIGHTS! SOFT WITH SOFT. SEPARATES FABRICS WITH HARD AND SOFT SURFACES! Separate fabrics with a hard surface from those with a soft surface. If you stop washing things like jeans and your fleece items in the same wash load, you'll reduce your contribution to microplastic pollution related to washing and rubbing your clothes.

#9 WHITE AND STAIN REMOVE WITH ECOLOGICAL PRODUCTS

Few people know it, but there is an ecological product that truly works miracles. We are talking about SODIUM PERCARBONATE : it is an ecological whitener that simultaneously carries out a cleansing, sanitizing and whitening action and helps remove stains thanks to the oxygen released in contact with water and sodium carbonate . It can be used for laundry and also to clean and sanitize dishes.

#10 USE THE RIGHT DETERGENTS AND USE THE RIGHT DOSE

Choose green detergents, in plastic-free packaging and that allow you to dose the right amount. Very often, especially with liquid detergents, we tend to add a little too much detergent, it doesn't help either the clothes or the environment. The right dose is better , like that of our R5 leaflets .
