Our commitment to carbon offsetting
R5 and Green Future Project
Our collaboration with Green Future Project represents another concrete step in strengthening our commitment to decarbonization by systematically and transparently integrating the purchase of certified carbon credits to offset our CO₂ emissions.
Green Future Project is an Italian company that develops solutions to support companies’ sustainability strategies , with a particular focus on emissions measurement, ESG data management and the implementation of certified environmental projects
From its portfolio, we have chosen to support The Russas Project (registered under the Verra VCS standard as project 1112), a REDD+ project that aims to prevent deforestation in areas of the Amazon rainforest, contributing to ecosystem conservation, biodiversity protection and the reduction of emissions resulting from land-use change.
To finance this project, we purchased 500 VCUs (Verified Carbon Units): each VCU corresponds to 1 tonne of CO₂ equivalent, for a total of 500 tonnes offset, generating a positive impact on both the climate and the environment.
R5 and Climate Partner
In 2025, our four-year partnership with Climate Partnes came to an end, while we continued to support the project to distribute high-efficiency cookstoves in several disadvantaged areas around the world (Improved cookstoves Gold Standard VER + VCS Worldwide), offsetting a total of 192 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent.
Efficient cookstove projects enable the distribution of often simple devices, made of metal or clay, to families, small businesses or community facilities. For
families in particular, the impact goes beyond reducing CO₂ emissions: improved indoor air quality reduces respiratory illnesses
and saves time and money by lowering fuel
consumption.
