R5 Living & Ambientale Art Festival

R5 Living & Ambient Art Festival

When sustainability becomes art!
On Saturday 26 October at Parco della Caffarella, R5 Living proudly collaborated with an initiative that saw art and sustainability travel in the same direction.

In collaboration with Roma Capitale and with the support of NATIVA s.r.l. , the Ambientale Art Festival was held, a lively open-air event curated by emerging artists from the RUFA Academy of Fine Arts. A festival that offered the public the opportunity to explore contemporary art in a completely natural context.

The works presented were inspired by the theme of Lost And Found and Fall in Camouflage and were designed to be perfectly contextualized within the hosting space, without neglecting the importance of the ecological impact of their materials.

The visitor was offered the opportunity to reflect on the theme of environmental sustainability, and rethink their daily habits, in a necessarily more ecological way.

Festival Themes:

Lost and Found : This theme explores the constant interplay between loss, rediscovery, and transformation. In our fast-paced world, we often feel disconnected from ourselves, our environment, and nature. Artists have used found and discarded objects to create new meaning, emphasizing the personal growth that can arise from such interactions.

Fall in Camouflage : This theme invites participants to reflect on the parts of themselves they hide to fit in with society. The works explore themes of identity, self-concealment, and how we interact with the natural world. The concept of camouflage is used as a metaphor for survival and transformation.

The festival was designed to leave no trace. All installations were removed at the end of the day to preserve the natural beauty of the park.

Our Bottles: 70 mini works of art.
Even R5 becomes art.

In fact, we donated to Rufa University about 70 refillable bottles, which were unable to be put on the market because they were broken or had defects, and they turned them into a work of art.

The students, in fact, decorated the bottles, giving them a new identity (see photo). They were then exhibited during the day and made available free of charge to the visitors of the Festival, who could take them home.

An excellent opportunity to demonstrate how art offers innovative and practical solutions to address environmental challenges and is a means to imagine a more sustainable future by inspiring change.

Our bottles have been designed to avoid the use of disposable plastic and the unnecessary transport of water and with this Festival no bottle has been wasted.

“Sustainability is beautiful, as beautiful as art”
